To start 17th April 2018 for a fixed term period until 14th December 2018, Oundle School are seeking a Sailing Coach and Boatman. The role is to work 6 hours per week as Sailing Coach and 6 hours per week as Boatman, during Oundle School Term time (22.8 working weeks for the period of employment).

As Sailing Coach you will coach the School’s sailing teams, which consist of pupils aged 13 to 18. Racing experience is essential, and team racing experience would be highly desirable. The School sails on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons, at Rutland SC, throughout the Autumn and Summer terms.

As Boatman / Bosun you will maintain and improve the fleet at Rutland SC, which currently consists of 6 Fireflies, 6 RS Fevas, a small motorboat, and 2 Wayfarers, as well as tools and other kit. An ability to tow boats and perform fiberglass repairs would be highly desirable, as would an understanding of boat tuning. The hours can be worked flexibly, but availability on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons would be an advantage.
