Children, sometimes as young as four, are sent by their parents from the high Himalayas to a school in Kathmandu, in the hope that education will give them a better chance in life. For ten years these children do not see or speak to their parents, due to the remoteness of their villages. This moving documentary follows three teenage pupils as they return home, an arduous and dangerous 15-day trek across the mountains.
