There’s a great evening of up-beat 1950’s Rock’n Roll, Rockabilly and vintage Jazz in store on Friday 17th May in Oundle. Bring out your drape jackets, crepe shoes and poodle circle skirts, or with dressing up optional, just come along to enjoy our specially chosen bands perform whilst at the same time helping to raise money for the Town Clock and Bells fund.

First up on stage from 7.30pm to start the evening build up we have The Herbie Lamb Quartet, an amazingly talented vintage group that play jazz standards from the Great American Songbook with songs from the late greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra, and featuring numbers such as: The Girl From Ipanema, I Get A Kick Out Of You, They Can’t Take That Away From Me, Ain’t Misbehavin’, The Lady Is A Tramp, and Fly Me To The Moon.

Then at around 9pm the main attraction arrives, the acclaimed Rock ‘n Roll band the T-100’s who’ll be getting the feet really tapping and the dance floor moving to Elvis, Bill Hailey, Eddie Cochrane, Chuck Berry and Johnny Cash all performed for your entertainment at St Peter’s!

Tickets sold for tables of 10 or you can grab singles and pairs and use the seating at the sides. Light food is provided with the ticket price and you can bring food items for your table also, all drinks to be purchased from the bar please.

1950s “DINER“ BURGER : Skillet- fried ground beef pattie, topped with a classic burger sauce, low and slow onions, cheese slice, lettuce and in a seeded bun.

NEW YORK CITY HOT DOG : Traditional frankfurter sausage served “vendor style” in a soft brioche bun with French’s classic mustard, pickles and onions.

OLD FASHIONED MAC ‘N’ CHEESE : Big pan style elbow macaroni in a tangy cheese sauce with mustard, smoked paprika, chive and a smoked bacon crumb.

“VINTAGE“ VEGAN BURGER : Chickpea burger pattie, topped with a vegan sauce, low and slow onions, cheese slice, lettuce and in a seeded bun.

Get a table together or grab individual tickets to enjoy a great evening socialising with your friends and listening to the toe-tapping, fabulous music. Oh, and yes – the church does now have loos!
