Oundle School are seeking an Admissions Secretary to start late August / early September. In conjunction with the other Admissions Secretaries, the role holder will be responsible for the efficient running of the Admissions Office.

Key responsibilities include:
• act as a first port of call for prospective parents, prep schools and other outside agencies
• handle a considerable volume of enquiries by telephone, email, letter or face to face
• act with considerable independence running the Registrar’s office
• arrange all prospective parent visits, ensuring the organisation, timing and interaction of the visits from prospective pupils and parents is dealt with efficiently and smoothly
• manage the diary of the Registrar
• exercise absolute confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information
• organise and attend all Open Days
• communicate with feeder (prep) schools for references and other relevant information
• assist with general administration and travel arrangements

Hours of work:
• Oundle School Term time (33 weeks per year): 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday with a one-hour meal break, plus 8.30am to 12noon every third Saturday (11 Saturdays per year)
• Oundle School holiday periods: 8.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday with a one-hour meal break
• Average 35 hours per week

Salary £21,507 FTE, £18,818 pro rata.

Applicants must have:
• GCSE in Maths and English
• Proficient in Microsoft office
• Excellent administrative skills
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professional and friendly manner
• Ability to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
