Oundle School is one of the country’s premier co-educational boarding and day schools, with 860 boarding and 250 day pupils. A further 250 day pupils attend Laxton Junior School. The School has a turnover in excess of £30m and a staff of 700.

The School’s Communications and Marketing Department is led by the Director of Communications who is closely supported by the Marketing Manager. The team covers all aspects of marketing and press for both Oundle School and Laxton Junior School, including strategy, communication, brand and image, publications, market analysis and competitor benchmarking, and pupil recruitment strategies and marketing initiatives, as well as overseeing the brand and image of Oundle Society and Oundle School Enterprises.

The Communications and Marketing Officer will be responsible for many of the day to day marketing initiatives that support both the communications and the admissions and marketing strategies. This is a broad role which sits across both Schools and will predominantly include the development of digital marketing channels, press activity, the creation of School publications and the management of online profiles and advertising. The role will require active engagement in School life in order to create content for communications and marketing material. The post holder will work closely with both the Director of Communications and the Marketing Manager.

41.4 working weeks / average 38.38 hours per week
£24,648 FTE, £21,093 pro rata

The successful candidate will be highly competent in the Adobe suite, especially Indesign and ideally Photoshop, and competent in Microsoft Windows software suite. Experience in marketing and PR is essential, and will ideally have been gained within a school environment. Experience of social media in a professional environment is also required.
