To start September 2019, Oundle School require a Relief Matron to provide a seamless service to the boarding House when the resident Matron is not present. The role holder will work under the direction of the Housemaster/Mistress, to supervise and provide care for the pupils, with particular responsibilities for the physical, social and emotional well-being, and presentation of the pupils in the House.
Hours of work are as follows:
Wednesday: 07:30-14:30 (In house)
17:00-20:00 (In house)
Thursday: 20:00–07:30 (Standby)
07:30-14:30 (In House)
£10.55 per hour. 17 hours on active duty over a 30-hour cover period. The salary for the role is £6,630 per annum, plus £739 per annum for the periods on standby.
We also have an opportunity for a Relief Matron to provide emergency cover in Boarding Houses across the School, as and when needed. This may suit individuals looking to undertake a pastoral role, but who are unable to commit to a 30-hour period.
A current, full UK driving licence is essential, as is use of a car. Applicants must have, or be prepared to obtain, a First Aid Certificate, and have experience of caring for children and young adults.
