We are pleased to be able to advertise the post of TEMPORARY ADMINISTRATOR (Part-time). This is a key post to support the day to day functioning of St Peter’s Church
Do you love working in a busy office and being at the hub of a community? If you do then this role may be for you.
The benefice of St.Peter’s Oundle, St. Mary’s Benefield and St. Leonard’s Glapthorn is looking for a Temporary Administrator.
During the Covid-19 emergency, when Church life is very different, and face-to-face events such as services are not taking place so often, other forms of communication are critically important for keeping in touch with our congregations and communities. Throughout this time, the key duties of the Administrator will be to assist with the creation and running of our weekly online church service, be responsible for social media posts, update and maintain the Church website, and design and distribute leaflets and other forms of communication to church members and the wider community. You will also provide general administration support to assist with the running of the Church.
Based at St.Peter’s, the appointment will be for an initial period of six-months, and the purpose and accountabilities of the role will be subject to review during and after the Covid-19 emergency. There may be an opportunity to be considered for an appointment on a permanent basis after the review has been completed.
The working hours will be a minimum of 20 hours per week, over a period of six months. The core work pattern will be four hours per day, Monday to Friday. The exact days and hours will be by agreement, and additional hours may be required to meet the fluctuating demands of the Church. There is a requirement in this post for a flexible approach, and the successful candidate may be required to vary hours from time to time. This role carries an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a Christian.
Applications are welcomed from individuals wishing to work on a job share basis. Please indicate if this is the case, and also let us know whether you have a proposed job share partner.
Salary range: £19k-£21k p.a. pro rata depending on experience
The successful candidate will also benefit from a 10% non-contributory pension.
