We are pleased to be able to advertise the post of TEMPORARY FACILITIES COORDINATOR (Part-time). This is a key post to support the day to day functioning of St Peter’s Church
Are you reliable, honest and hardworking? Are you an adaptable and flexible team player? We are looking for a Temporary Facilities Coordinator who is keen to take on responsibility for maintaining the parish buildings and grounds.
Job purpose: For the duration of the Covid-19 emergency, when normal Church events such as services and weddings are unlikely to take place, the main duties of the post will be to organise and carry out regular cleaning, including the ‘deep-cleaning’ necessary for minimising the risk of virus transmission, to carry out simple repairs and maintenance work in and around the Church, and to undertake security duties, including outside of ‘normal hours’ if necessary.
The appointment will be for an initial period of six-months, and the purpose and accountabilities of the role will be subject to review during and after the Covid-19 emergency.
The working hours will be a minimum of 6 hours per week, over a period of six months. The core work pattern will be three hours per day, for two days a week. The exact days and hours will be by agreement, and additional hours will be required to meet the fluctuating demands of the Church. There is a requirement in this post for a flexible approach, and the successful candidate may be required to work evenings and weekends.
Salary range: £9:52-£10:50 per hour according to experience. The successful candidate will also benefit from a 10% non-contributory pension.
